square miles) and is larger than the island of Manhattan. It is
also the second largest airport by land area in the United
States.
It is the third busiest
airport in the world by aircraft movements and the eleventh
busiest airport in the world by passenger traffic as of 2016.
With nearly 900 daily flights, American Airlines at DFW is the
second largest airline hub in the world and the United States,
behind Delta's Atlanta hub.
DFW has its own police, fire protection, and emergency medical
services.
Airports Council International named DFW Airport the best large
airport with more than 40 million passengers in North America
for passenger satisfaction during 2016
