Well, Pinch My Bum
How many names can one holiday have? Quite a few, such as
Restoration Day, Oak Apple Day, or Royal Oak Day. It was an
English public holiday, observed annually on 29 May, to
commemorate the restoration of the English monarchy in May 1660.
It is also known as Shick Shack Day, Oak and Nettle Day, Bumping
Day, and Pinch-bum Day. Each
group seems to have their own name and as many ways to celebrate
the English monarchy.
