The US Library of
Congress is the second largest library in the world with more
than 168 million items in 450 languages, followed by the Library
and Archives Canada with 55 million items, the New York Public
Library with 54 million items, Shanghai Library with 50 million
items, and the Russian State Library with 47 million items.
